About Us Loudoun Academy of Martial Arts was founded in 2004 by Master Gerville Hall.  Master Hall is a 6th Degree World Taekwondo Federation and World Tae Kwon Moo Do Federation Black Belt, with almost three decades of experience in Tae Kwon Do. His teaching experience includes work with The North American Tae Kwon Do Academy, Central Ohio Tae Kwon Do Academy and Eastern Michigan University.  In 2002 shortly after relocating from Michigan he began teaching at Ida Lee Recreation Center in Leesburg, VA.  With a never ending desire to improve not only the quality of instruction, but also the overall student experience he opened  the Academy in April of 2004.  The Academy closed briefly in April of 2007 and re-opened in October of the same year at a new location under the ownership of Master Kevin Gower, a student and instructor of Master Hall's since the academy's founding.  Master Hall continues to be a part of our training, and our lineage. Benefits of Martial Arts  Martial Arts are not just for self-defense.  Like any sport or training program, it can help improve coordination, stamina, strength, flexibility, and more.  But beyond the physical benefits, martial arts can also lead to improved concentration, relaxation and reduced stress. Many students also benefit from a greater sense of self-confidence and improved discipline. What We Offer Martial Arts classes for everyone: We offer Tae Kwon Do classes for all ages, starting with children age six through adult.  Currently all classes are divided by rank, beginners (white belt - yellow belt) and intermidiate - advanced (yellow belt w/stripe - black belt).  This gives families or siblings a unique opportunity to train together and share similar experiences.  We also offer additional training in sparring and forms (specific rank requirements apply),  to see schedule click on classes above.  Private lessons are also available by appointment. After School Program We offer student transportation from school, daily martial arts instruction and home work assistance for elementary school age children.  Contracts We do not require or offer long term contracts.  Our membership options include: Daily drop-in, Monthly, Six Month and One Year.
